Apprentice Electrician

Ready to launch your career in the electrical trade? As an Apprentice Electrician at Benmar Electric, you'll learn from experienced journeymen and foremen while working on some of the biggest projects in Texas.

This isn't a small-time apprenticeship — you'll gain hands-on experience on border infrastructure, solar installations, and large commercial developments from day one. At Benmar, we invest in our apprentices because we know they're the future of our company.

What You'll Do

• Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Pull wire, install conduit, mount electrical boxes, and assist with panel work
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines on the job site
• Progress through apprenticeship milestones under experienced mentorship

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong interest in the electrical trade and willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites
• Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program
