Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Helper to support our team of electricians in the field. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in learning about the electrical trade and potentially advancing to an apprenticeship. As an Electrical Helper, you will assist journeyman and master electricians with various tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Location: McAllen, TX
Pay: $10.00-$20.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
- Dig trenches for underground electrical lines
- Clean work areas, tools, and equipment
- Load and unload supplies and materials
- Assist electricians by passing tools and materials as needed
- Help with basic electrical tasks under close supervision
- Learn basic electrical terminology and practices
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Basic hand tool familiarity
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience
- Basic understanding of construction principles
- Interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade
- OSHA 10 certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
